The original 5000-acre Fair Oaks Ranch was formed by putting
together several land purchases during the 1930's by oil man Ralph
E. Fair. According to the Texas State Laws there would have
to be two cities formed due to restrictions concerning population
density and the size of the proposed city. Therefore, the cities
of Fair Oaks North and Fair Oaks South were incorporated. On
January 21, 1988, the two cities were combined with the council
from the South becoming the City Council for the single city
called Fair Oaks. Later, the named was changed to Fair Oaks Ranch.
Fair
Oaks Ranch is a private golf course community located 20 minutes
north west of San Antonio. Serene Hill Country views. Homes from
$300's to over $1,000,000. Two 18 hole golf courses and many
amenities for residents. Fair Oaks Ranch has easy access to
San Antonio and Boerne via I-10.
